Explore the Tiffany Gardens in Glass exhibit at Oshkosh Public Museum, showcasing Louis C. Tiffany’s enduring passion for nature and stained glass artistry. This unique exhibition features ten iconic Tiffany Studios botanical lamps and windows, alongside nine original nature-study photographs from Tiffany Studios’ extensive reference collection.
Louis C. Tiffany extensively explored the creative potential of glass as a medium, beautifully expressing his deep appreciation for nature’s vibrant forms. His personal reference library, rich with botanical texts and gardening resources, complemented the greenhouses and gardens at his Long Island estate. Tiffany Studios was staffed by talented artists and artisans who skillfully captured nature’s delicate beauty, translating it into glass masterpieces that highlight detailed petals, textured leaves, and radiant sunlight.
Tiffany's floral lamps and landscape windows, among his most celebrated works, represent a timeless tribute to nature and exceptional craftsmanship, perpetually blooming in vibrant glass.
Included with general admission, the Historic Sawyer Home is a must-see highlight of your visit to the Oshkosh Public Museum. "Gardens In Glass stands out as it brilliantly illustrates how Tiffany's love for plants and flowers translated into stunning glass masterpieces. You can see the reference photo he took of a flower and the finished piece illuminated in stained glass."
