MUSEUM DOCENTS
Volunteer docents serve as tour guides for school groups and general visitations.
Being a docent requires a commitment of time, but brings many rewards. You will be able to help a child discover what it was like to live in a log cabin in 1850, how the Apostles Clock works, or where dinosaurs roamed on earth.
Docents also serve as greeters, help with special programs, and provide visitor assistance. You will be well trained and have access to material about museum exhibitions. As a docent, you will learn more about Oshkosh or special subjects, become active in a great community resource, and enrich the lives of children and adults.
To learn more about becoming a docent, contact Mike Breza at mbreza@ci.oshkosh.wi.us or call 236-5765. If you prefer, you can fill out the volunteer form and mail or bring it to:
