Durow Trust Presents
Poetry in Pottery
Thanks to a bequest from the estate of Frederick and Marion Hughes Durow, the Museum has the ability to exhibit, preserve and develop its extensive collection of decorative arts. Through the Durows' generosity and foresight, generations of visitors will be able to experience the beauty and artistry of these amazing objects.
Anna Cannizzoo, Durow Curator of Collections and Decorative Arts carries out the purpose of the Trust which provides funds for the acquisition of glass and ceramic ware. This covers the exhibition, care, maintenance, education and promotion of activities of this section of the Museum with particular emphasis on Germanic and Bohemian ware. This will be a yearly rotating exhibition placed in the beautiful Sawyer Library gallery that aligns with the Trust's purpose.
September 2019 is the inaugural exhibition, titled Poetry in Pottery: Collection Highlights will also commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Museum, receiving the Trust enabling us to honor and celebrate their remarkable gift. Visit the exhibit in the beautiful Sawyer Library.
