Homemade Holidays
December 5, 2009 - January 17, 2010
This year, the Oshkosh Public Museum introduces the idea of a green Christmas… a green that goes beyond Douglas-firs and mistletoe.
In an original holiday exhibit the Oshkosh Public Museum will showcase ways that past generations have celebrated the season and exchanged gifts. Enjoy more than 150 years of imaginative, innovative and ecologically mindful holiday gifts and decorations and take part in the various opportunities the Museum has to get involved with the community. This environmentally friendly, socially conscious exhibit serves as an inspirational way to make a big impact on the lives of others through little deeds of philanthropy and small acts of thoughtfulness. This year, recycle some of those long lost traditions and be inspired with ingenuity and generosity.
“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind.” Calvin Coolidge
