For Home and Country: World War I Member Event

Wednesday, September 12, 5:30-7:00 pm

To commemorate the United States participation in World War I, the Museum is pleased to present For Home and Country: World War I, an exhibition on display June 17-October 7 that focuses on first-hand experiences of local men and women during the war. Visitors can virtually "step into their shoes" for an unbelievable journey into this turbulent period.

The World War I years were a time of profound change. The U.S. declared war on Germany in April 1917 and many local National Guard units, as well as drafted men, were sent into battle in France through the armistice in November 1918.

Join us on Wednesday, September 12, for this exclusive member's event as Brad Larson, Museum Director, presents "The Great War for Humanity: Remembering" at 6 pm. In this presentation, Brad focuses on the individual stories of these brave men who served during the war. Not a member? Consider joining today!
