The fur trade was Wisconsin's first truly global economic endeavor. In the mid-17th century, the French came to Wisconsin looking for furs, bringing with them an array of goods from all over the world. Isaac Walters explains what the fur trade was, how it worked, and who was involved. He also takes a look at the facts and myths of the fur trade. This event is free with general admission.
