Tusks! Ice Age Mammoths and Mastodons

TUSKS! ATTACHS 5,000 VISITORS
Closed September 30

The very cool exhibit of gigantic Ice Age mammals that stomped into the museum this summer attracted just over 5,000 people. Visitors discovered fantastic animals like the huge mastodon and the ferocious saber tooth cat that roamed Earth during the Ice Age. In all, the exhibit displayed 80 astonishing ancient animal specimens like carnivores, horses, giant ground sloth, and even giant armadillos. Kids enjoyed the interactive element that enabled them to become an archaeologist and “dig” for ancient bones.
