Parlor, c.1912

Then:

With its light golden primavera wood walls and marble fireplace, the Sawyer Parlor is a beautifully decorated formal room. The walls were covered with a golden silk brocade created by Tiffany Studios.

The Parlor as seen today.

Now:

Today the Sawyer Parlor features changing exhibits drawn from our extensive collection of decorative arts. Currently exhibited here are fine examples of 19th-century hatpins and walking sticks and a selection from the museum's pattern glass collection. The current silk wall covering is a reproduction of the original Tiffany wall covering.
