Class Room Presentations
Have a French Fur Trader, Civil War Soldier, or a Lumberjack visit your classroom and bring history to life. Both presentations include authentic costumes and replicas in addition to a fascinating account of history from the Fur Trade or Civil War period.
| Civil War Soldier
Introduce your class to the life of the common Union foot soldier from the Civil War. Your students will explore who these men were, why they volunteered for service, and what army life was like. Our museum educator, correctly uniformed and with all the proper accoutrements, recounts actual experiences of Civil War soldiers from this area. Let your students see if they can carry the standard issue haversack filled with authentic repro-
ductions of army gear. A unique way to cover this important episode in American history.
