Museum Visits

The Oshkosh Public Museum has long been a popular destination for school field trips in the area. We also encourage home schoolers to take advantage of our programs. Schedule your visit by calling 920.236.5763.

Tips for your visit
When scheduling a visit, please remember that the Apostles Clock chimes every hour on the hour. Most groups schedule their visits so that they can see the clock chime at least once.

Most groups take about one and a half hours to see the museum. This includes seeing all traveling and permanent exhibits, including our interactive Grandma's Attic and Pioneer Cabin, seeing the Apostles Clock and visiting the museum store. It is important for larger groups to schedule time accordingly, since it takes more time to get larger groups oriented in the museum.

How much does it cost?
Oshkosh School District students K-12 (public, private, charter, parochial or home school) on a field trip are FREE. Students on field trips from outside the Oshkosh School District are $3.50 each. One adult chaperone is required for every ten students. The museum grants free admission to each chaperone in the 10 to 1 ratio. All other adults beyond this ratio will be charged $7.00 each. We also have an excellent museum store with many affordable souvenirs, from postcards and old-fashioned toys to books and historic photographs.
