Image of three Motor Torpedo Boats, or PT Boats, running on the Atlantic Ocean. A house-to-house campaign by the Oshkosh War Bond Drive Corps sold over a half-million dollars of War Bonds to people in Oshkosh during the 6th War Loan Drive in December 1944. Richard and Ella White led the campaign in Oshkosh. 3,577 subscriptions were received totalling $748,000, more than enough money to sponsor the cost of building a Motor Torpedo Boat. |
