Notes Image of a Dunphy Boat Corporation's Motorized Barge on Lake Winnebago. Three men are seen running the boat with a canvas awning or cover up. the Dunphy Boat Corporation manufactured motorized barges for the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps during World War II and would receive the Army-Navy "E" Award for their efforts. The driver of the boat has been identified (10/02/2005) by his grandson as John Jay Clark, who owned Clark & Lund Boat Company, a marina and boat dealership along the south shore of the Fox River near 4th Avenue and Michigan Street.
