Notes Group photograph of Steve Wittman and five Aviation Flight Instructors at the Winnebago County Airport. These civilian pilots taught flying lessons to the Civilian Pilot Training Program and the Army Air Force Cadets from the Oshkosh State Teachers College from 1939-1943. many of their students became pilots during World War II. Steve Wittman is the pilot standing third from right in front of the airplane.
