Image showing Mr. & Mrs. Michael Erban, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who had five sons in the service, Walter, John, Robert, and Elmer. Another son Eddie played for the Oshkosh All Stars and later was accepted into the marines.
John was killed on June 5, 1944, at Wake island, Netherland Indies (New Guinea) and Richard, who was killed on October 25, 1944, at Mount Grande, Italy.
The Erban's are pictured with Mrs. Leulla Gogolewski, buying 5th War Loan Bonds. The image was dated June 16, 1944.
