Description Red woven body with multi-border of gold, white, black, white and gold. Woven design: central white medallion with black swastika bordered with white and gold; medallion encircled with gold-colored cloth oak leaves embroidered with gold thread. Metallic-wrapped fringe. Top folded over and stitched to form loop for suspension. Handwritten on back in ink: "RAY. G."

Nazi military item removed from the German chancellery at the time that the advance wave of U. S. forces entered Berlin; this reportedly was taken from Adolf Hiltler's private dining room; brought home by Raymond Godschalx.
