Description "German Cross" (see "German Medals and Decorations of WWII", pp 105 - 108). A silver/slightly yellowed colored medal in the shape of an Maltese Cross. Crossing from below and behind are two swords. In a circle in the center is a swastika. Held by a hinge on the back is a very heavy duty pin with the number 65 on it and simple clasp.

Nazi military item removed from the German chancellery at the time that the advance wave of U. S. forces entered Berlin; brought home by Raymond Godschalx.
