Description Luftschutz Helmet: steel crown; wide steel brim with curved opening at sides; blue painted; leather chin strap; front has decal of black with design of gold wings and a swastika and "LUFTSCHUTZ" (air raid warden?).

Nazi military item removed from the German chancellery at the time that the advance wave of U. S. forces entered Berlin; brought home by Raymond Godschalx.
