Description 
Japanese Enlisted Navy Uniform: Jacket: blue wool; five gilt buttons on front with chrysanthemum; fold down collar; left sleeve has rank insignia patch of blue with yellow anchor and laurel wreath design; right sleeve has small chrysanthemum patch. Enlisted Navy Trousers: blue wool; handwritten in ink on inside waist: "MITANI TOSHIO". August 2003, Japanese label translated: "Registration number ---54161 (first 3 numbers unreadable)/Name: Iwamoto, --hiro (first part of name unreadable; hiro is common nickname)/Date of Issue: 18th year of Showa (which is 1943), November/Size & Date of Manufacture: 17th year of Showa (which is 1942) June Maizura Military Supplies Department". Brought home as a souvenir by Wayne Truax.
