Description WAVES Enlisted Uniform: gray and white cotton seersucker jacket; buttons are missing; collarless with rounded lapels; light blue anchor and navy blue propeller insignia embroidered on both lapels; four flaps for pockets, only the lower right side is a functional pocket; marked inside: "MADE AND SOLD UNDER/AUTHORITY OF U.S. NAVY/W.A.V.E.S." and "W.A.V.E.S/NAME Louise Mathwig/RATE/CONTRACT NO. 142"; "WASH WITH MILD SOAP AND/WATER NOT OVER 140/RINSE THOROUGHLY/WRING GENTLY/SHAPE GARMENT WHILE WET/USE MEDIUM HOT IRON/DO NOT USE BLEACH OR STARCH." Skirt: gray and white striped cotton seersucker; waistband; zipper and button at left side.
