Description US Navy Officer's Summer White Uniform; single breasted white cotton coat with stand-up collar; two pockets on the front with flaps; no buttons nor insignia present. Pants: white cotton; button fly; waist band with belt loops; two front pockets and two back pockets. Handwritten labels in jacket and pants with user's name.

Nile W. Roeder was born in Oshkosh, WI on November 11, 1917. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and served on a destroyer doing convoy and antisubmarine duty. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He married Lois R. Mathwig on October 5, 1946. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and worked at the Continental Clothing Company for 43 years. He died in Oshkosh, WI in June 1979.
