Description Nickeled brass cigarette lighter. Side of tube holding spring loaded pyrite reads: "BOWERS MANUFACTURING CO. KALAMAZOO MICH." When serrated steel wheel is depressed, internal unit drops down about 1" and cover pivots off of cotton wick. Spring loaded shaft brings pyrite against wheel. When wheel is spun, sparks ignite wick. Bringing interior unit up covers wick and extinguishes the flame. Interior body holding wick is made from Bakelite.

Used by either Orville or Adrian Hansen during World War II.
