Dance program from July 28, 1943, held for the 974th Air Base at Camp Butner, NC. The 974th was an African-American unit which had segregated activities, separate from white units at the camp. Harry Meeleus, as a white officer, often attended these social functions. The interior has a half-tone image of "Miss 974th" and a dance card.
