Letter from Lieutenant Wilbur E. Witte, United States Army Air Force to Reverend John E. Elbert. Boca Raton Field Wednesday nite Oct. 13th, '43 Dear Reverend Elbert, Well I'm back here at Boca Raton again. Seems I just can't stay away from it. I've lived both at the field and here at the club. I've lived here as an enlisted man when the school was here, as a cadet when they came here, and now that the cadets have moved away I'm living here as an officer going to school again. This is more or less of a B.O.Q. (Bachelors officers quarters). We have an ideal setup here now. Seems nice to be living here without all the former restrictions 'cause now I can more or less enjoy it. I'm on the early shift here. Can get up anytime I please in the morning as long as I'm at class at 0500!! Don't mind though because my late afternoons and evenings are free… As Ever Wilbur
