V-Mail Letter from Sergeant Edwin Luebke, Company E, 10th Engineer Battalion, to his sister, Esther C. Zimdars, in Oshkosh, WI. V-Mail Mr. & Mrs. Carl Zimdars 360 Ceape Steet Oshkosh, Wisconsin Sgt. Edwin Luebke Co. E. 10th Engineer Bn. A.P.O. #3 C/o Postmaster, New York Dec. 4th 1943 Dear Sis & Family, Received your letter the other day & like always very glad to hear from you. Glad to hear that you are well. I am Okay & I sure hope this letter finds you in the very best of health. I don't know anything new to write about. Everything is about the same like always. The weather is just as rainy as ever & it is rain every day. Sure is muddy. How is the weather there in Wis. by now? Kind of cool and some snow I suppose. But you can expect over there by this time of the year not Sis. For it won't be long & you can celebrate New Years Eve. I hope you all have a very good time like I use to have. Maybe next year everything will be different & we all can have a good time once more. At least I hope that this will be over with by then & that we can be home by then. If it is a long time before then it will be swell by me. Sis aren't you getting tired of reading the same thing over & over what I write! There is nothing that we can write about from here. Will close for this time. Wish you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Best of luck love & health. From Ed.
