Notes Candid outdoor view of Karl E. Feirer. He is wearing a Model 1941 Jacket, wool trousers, helmet liner, leggings, and cartridge belt. He holds a Garrand Rifle with fixed bayonet at "Port Arms".
Karl E. Feirer was the son of Frank K. and Addie Feirer of Oshkosh, WI. He entered military service on February 4, 1943. He went overseas July 1, 1943 and served as a Machine Gunner in an infantry unit that fought in the pacific Theater during World War II. He was slightly wounded at Bougainville on December 23, 1943.
