Robert W. Bauer was born in Oshkosh, WI on May 26, 1921, the son of John G. and Chrystal Bauer. He attended St. Mary's School and moved to Milwaukee, WI where he worked for Milwaukee Parts Corporation. He married Virginia Weigelt on July 18, 1940. He was drafted on January 13, 1944. He went overseas in June 1944 and was killed in action in France on August 4, 1944.
