Roger W. Brueske was born March 9, 1922 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Norma Brueske. His father passed away and his mother remarried. He was working for his stepfather, William F. Potschaider as a roofer when he enlisted in the army on October 13, 1942. He had only been in France two months when he was killed in battle on September 20, 1944.
