Bust view of William "Sam" Flessert. He is wearing a civilian suit and tie. William "Sam" Flessert was born in Oshkosh, WI on October 3, 1916. The family then moved to Mooseheart, IL. He came back to Oshkosh, WI in the late 1930s and lived with the Ben Ehricke family. He attended North Central College in Naperville, IL and enlisted in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was trained as a bombadier and served in the Pacific Theater as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was killed in action in 1943. |
