Gordon W. Smith was born in Oshkosh, WI on January 9, 1915, the son of William L. and Ina Smith. He enlisted in the United States Army on October 23, 1939 and received a medical discharge September 16, 1941. He spent two years at the Veterans Hospital at Wood, WI and died there in October 1943. He was survived by his wife Geraldine.
