Bust view image of Reuben J. Drexler. He is wearing his Service Uniform and hat. Reuben J. Drexler was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in 1920. He enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard prior to World War II and was a member of the Service Company, 127th Infantry, 32nd Division. He was called to active duty in August 1940 and was shipped to Camp Livingston, Louisiana. The 32nd Division fought in the Pacific and Reuben was present in New Guinea and in the Philippines. He rose through the ranks to become Master Sergeant and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge; Philippines Liberation badge; Bronze Star and other awards. He was discharged in 1945.
