First Aid Packet: brass rectangular container; painted brown; sealed shut along edges; metal on side to pull open; raised letting on top: "FIRST AID PACKET-U.S. ARMY/CONTRACT NOV.2-1916/BAUER & BLACK/CHICAGO. U.S.A./TO OPEN-PULL RING/PATENT APPLIED FOR".
Edward William Ziebell was a clerk at Diamond Match Company in Oshkosh in 1916. In World War I he became a 2nd Lieutenant in the 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 82nd "All American" Division. |
