Notes Candid outdoor image by Sergeant John Matschi. The image shows a group of Doughboys with Gas Masks in the street of a French village. The soldiers wear helmets, uniforms, and rubber boots. Most of the gas masks are French design. These are probably members of Company C, 150th Machine Gun Battalion, 42nd "Rainbow" Division. A French woman and a boy are in the doorway to a building.
