Candid outdoor image by Sergeant John Matschi. The image shows three French women driving a wagon pulled by cows through the village (most horses in the country were being used by the military). One of the women wears wooden shoes. Several Doughboys can be seen walking in the background. These are probably members of Company C, 150th Machine Gun Battalion, 42nd "Rainbow" Division. |
