Notebook used by Sergeant William Pechmann, Company C, 150th Machinegun Battalion, 42nd Division,. It contains clothing lists, duty rosters, pat recieved, and a list of significant dates: "Called Out July 15, 1917 Camp Douglas (Wisconsin) August 6, 1917 Left Camp Douglas for Camp Mills September 3, at Camp Mills September 5, 1917 left Camp Mills, NY for France October 18, 1917 arrived at St. Nazairre, France November 1, left the boat Monday November 6, 1917 to Meligny le Grand November 8, First Mail... November 23, first pay in France First Days in Trenches March 9, 1918 march 12, 1918 in Sector of Lourraine to march 21 April 11, 1918 at Mignivillers April 18 to Ancervillers 4/18/18 to 4/25/18 back 4/25/18" The book also contains notes on machinegun firing tables and rates, signal flair colors for artillery barrages and Tank attacks, and machinegun squad formations in open order, in column, and in action.
