Notes Candid outdoor image of William Pechmann and Family. He is nealing in front wearing a Campaign Hat. Other family members are standing behind him and in front of a conical tent. Inscribed on back: "This was taken at Camp Douglas when my mother was down there. You can keep this if you want it or send it back to me."
William Pechmann was born June 20, 1894, the son of Jordan Pechmann. He enlisted in Company F, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard on March 1, 1914. He was assigned to Company C, 150th Machine Gun Battalion on Augst 9, 1917. He was promoted to corporal on August 15, 1917. He was appointed Sergeant on September 26, 1918. He was killed in action on October 22, 1918 from severe shrapnel wounds during the Meuse-Argonne Campaign.
