Description Identification Disk (Dog Tag): circular aluminum disk; hole punched through near edge; stamped "JULIUS MAND/PVT./3RD CO./150TH M.G.BN./83RD. INF. BRIG./42ND DIV."

Julius Mand was born in Oshkosh WI on March 25, 1898. Oshkosh Fire Department from 1920 until 1966, he retired as Assistant Chief. He enlisted in Company F, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard on May 19, 1916 and served on the Mexican Border. He was drafted from Company F, which became Company C, 150th Machine Gun Battalion in Wold War I. He served as the company cook. He was reduced to private at an unspecified date. On February 26, 1919 he was transferred to the 42nd Military Police Company.
