Outdoor view of the body of a dead British soldier. His body is laying face down in grass, still wearing equipment, SMLE Rifle beside him, gas mask in front, a bullet hole in his helmet corresponds with a bullet hole in the skull. The remains are skeletal. Inscribed on back, "American Dead/Rheims France July 1919" (this is incorrect). |
