Bust view image of Segeant Peter Daniel Johnson. He wears a Model 1917 Tunic with stand-up collar and "2" over crossed infnatry rifles over "B" disk and a Campaign Hat with infantry hat cord. Peter Daniel Johnson is listed in 1914 as a trucker working for the Chicago & Northwestern RR. In 1916 he was working for Paine Lumber Company. He married Isabelle Gerhke in Oshkosh on April 22, 1912. He was a member of Company B, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard. They became Company B, 127th Infantry, 32nd Division in July 1917. Peter was promoted to Corporal on December 15, 1917. He was later promoted to sergeant. He was killed in action on July 31, 1918 during the Aisne-Marne Offensive near Sergy, France. |
