Notes Halftone print made from a Signal Corps photograph showing members of 107th Engineers, 32nd Division, near Fismes, France, August 6, 1918. Pictured are men of the 107th preparing to build a pontoon bridge cross the Vesle River. The bridge was built with empty gasoline cans attached to logs. The 32nd Division was the first American division on German soil.
