Candid outdoor image of Company B, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard Football Team. The men are wearing football uniforms and standing in an arc while a photographer at left takes their picture. A barracks building is in the background. Taken when Company B won the Pennant at Camp MacArthur, Texas. They played other teams from neighboring camps and were undefeated. The image the photographer is taking, appears in the booklet: "Company B 127th Infantry In the World War: 1917-1919." Otto B. Sells was the son of William and Carrie Prine Sells. He was a member of Company B, 127th Infantry, 32nd Division during World War I. He was killed by an artillery shell near the town of Fisme, France on August 4, 1918. |
