Description Model 1917 enlisted breeches: olive drab wool breeches; belt loops at waist; 1904 dated waist belt; tin button fly closure; two front pockets; two back pockets; lace closure at calf; and reinforcement inside legs.

Used by Harold R. Nichols, Company A, 119th Machinegun Battalion, 32nd Division during World War I.
The 119th Machine Gun Battalion was formed from the 6th Wisconsin Regiment, Wisconsin National Guard and was commanded by Major Percy C. Atkinson. Harold R. Nichols enlisted on June 9, 1917 and was assigned to Company A, 119th Machinegun Battalion, 32nd Division. He served in France from February 19, 1918 until May 21, 1919. He was discharged on June 1, 1919. He is first listed in the Oshkosh City Directory with his wife Maeta T. Nichols in 1940. He died in Oshkosh circa 1975.
