Subject: National Guard Organizations to be called into Federal Service Juicy 15,1917.
I am enclosing herewith a list showing the National Guard organizations within your department that are to be called into Federal service on July 15,1917.
In determining the number of Dental Surgeons authorized for each State you should be guided by Section 10 of the Act of June 3,1916, which authorizes one Dental Surgeon for each one thousand enlisted men of the line.
In determining the number of assistant veterinarians for mounted organizations you should be guided by the number of animals with the organization. In no case should the number authorized for mounted organizations by Section 16 of the Act of June 3,1916, and Tables of Organization. United States Army, 1917,be exceeded.
