French propaganda brochure showing alleged German atrocities during World War I. The cover shows the execution of Edith Cavell. Numerous other stories describe and illustrate German soldiers burning villages, killing children, sinking ships, bombing hospitals, stealing art, executing priests, attacking women, cutting down orchards, and forcing civilians to labor. Used by 1st Lieutenant Robert A. Hellard, Supply Company, 127th Infantry, 32nd Division.
