Outdoor view of Captain Frank H. Crane, 2nd Lieutenant Robert A. Hellard, and Corporal Cooper Wells, Supply Company, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard at Camp Douglas. Crane is seated in the side car, Robert Hellard is driving the motor cycle and Corporal Wells is seated behing him. Several wall tents are in the background. The 127th Infantry was formed at Camp MacArhtur and were here from August 1917 to January 1918. Corporal Wells was promoted to Sergeant and died in the service. |
