Outdoor view of Companies B & F, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard filling passenger cars at the Soo Line freight train depot in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The men are dressed in Campaign Hats, shirts and black ties, and breeches. The Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad (later the Soo Line) freight depot is in the background. A large crowd of people are waving good by. The photograph was taken when the men shipped out in July 1917 for Camp Douglas for mobilization for Wolrd War I. |
