| Description |
Model 1873 Springfield .45-70 Bayonet with scabbard: triangular shaped steel blade; elbow attaches to socket; socket has transverse locking slot and locking clasp with screw; and raised mounting slot closing bridge. Scabbard is blued steel with drain hole at tip; leather frog attached near throat; brass rivet with disk and "US" in center; and disk attached to leather belt loop. Frog is marked with maker stamp: J.BOYD. |
