Description Pattern 1883 Fatigue Blouse: dark blue wool body with fold-down collar; five gilt brass eagle buttons on front; three gilt eagle buttons on each cuff; Pattern 1887 1st Class Hospital Steward's chevrons on each sleeve consisting of three emerald green chevron with one emerald green arc, white silk thread chained stitched along borders, dark blue wool center with red cross in center; and black cotton lining in body of coat.
Used by Frank Callies, Company B, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard during the Spanish-American War. Stamped "Co. B" in red inside. maker's label of David Adler & Sons Clothing Company.
