Description Mess Cup: tinned steel sheet in cylinder soldered together and rolled edge at top; stamped tin bottom soldered on; loop style handle attached with 3 rivets and stamped "US" at top. Painted with gold radiator paint at a later date.

Used by Private Ernst Mueller, Company F, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard during the Spanish-American War.
