Notes Group image of Spanish nurses and aids in a hospital near Ponce, PR. Several of the men wear the distinctive striped Spanish uniforms with red cross insignia on the arms. Chief Musician of the 2nd Wisconsin Band, Phillip Laffey, can be seen standing in the back row center. An inscription on front reads, Group of attendants and sick in Spanish Hospital at Ponce, PR."
