Notes Outdoor view of a frame house near Ponce, Puerto Rico. A group of women are standing on the veranda, while a group of men pose in the road in front. Two men are riding on donkeys. One US soldier, George F. Wright of Oshkosh, WI, is standing at center. An inscription at the bottom reads, "Residence of well to do family near camp of 2nd Wis. Vol. Infy. near Ponce Porto Rico. Musician George Wright of 2nd Regt Band standing near center of group with hands on hips."
George Wright appears on the roster of Company B, 2nd Wisconsin National Guard as a private on the men who returned from the Spanish American War. George F. Wright appears in the Oshkosh City Directory for 1898 as the treasuerer of Gould Manufacturing Company.
